During his career, Coach Guyer has coached 6 All-State players, 29 All-Region players, 5 All-Western North Carolina players, 1 Conference Player of the Year, and has coached 3 Division 1 athletes, and 13 other collegiate athletes.Ĭoach Guyer is married to Laiken Guyer, who is from Newland, North Carolina. While at CCCHS, Coach Guyer helped the Red Raider Program, that on the back of their defense, finished 3rd in Region 3-6A, captured their first 4 game win-streak since 2003, and secured their first playoff appearance since 2016. In 2021, Coach Guyer moved to Manchester, TN and served as the Defensive Backs/Passing Game Coordinator for the Coffee County Central High football team. He, along with Coach Bryan, was instrumental in helping turn the Avery Viking Football Program into a playoff team in 2019. While at Avery, he served as Assistant Head Coach, Defensive Line Coach, and Defensive Backs Coach. In 2016, he moved to Avery County High School in Newland, North Carolina and remained there until 2021. While at Mars Hill, he was a member of the 2011 South Atlantic Conference Championship team that competed in the NCAA Division II playoffs.Īfter graduating from Mars Hill in 2015, with a degree in Health/Physical Education, Coach Guyer became the Head Coach at Douglas Byrd Middle School in Fayetteville, N.C. After high school, he attended Mars Hill University and soon became a Student-Assistant for the Lions. The Canton, North Carolina native was a four-year football letterman for Pisgah High School. Together, they have two daughters and 3 grandchildren.Ĭoach Guyer starts his 2nd year LFO, and his 13th year of coaching overall. He is excited to be back in an area that he considers home and looks to turn LFO into a place that people think of when they think about high school football in Northwest Georgia.Ĭoach Bryan resides in Fort Oglethorpe with his wife, Vickie. In 2018, Coach Bryan was named the Head Coach at Avery County High School in Newland, N.C., where he remained until this year.ĭuring his coaching career, Coach Bryan has helped numerous players reach the collegiate and professional level. During his stint with the Owls, he compiled a 45-16 record, was a 3-Time Region Coach of the Year, reached the playoffs in all 5 years, and the state quarterfinals twice. In 2013, he returned to Chattanooga as the Head Coach at Ooltewah High School, and remained there for 5 years. The following year, he became the Co-Offensive Coordinator at UT-Martin, and remained there until 2012. In 2009, Coach Bryan moved back to the high school ranks, serving as the Head Coach at Enka High School in Asheville, N.C. After leading Emerald to an 11-3 record and being named the Region Coach of the Year, he became the Head Coach at Pikeville College, from 2006-2008. During the 2004 season, Coach Bryan served as the Offensive Line Coach at Newberry College (S.C.), before becoming the Head Coach at Emerald High School in Greenwood, South Carolina in 2005. Coach Bryan led the Bulldogs to 8 wins in 1996, the most wins in a season for the school since 1965.Īfter serving as Offensive Coordinator for the newly formed Pikeville College (Ky.) Club team in 2000, he moved to UT-Chattanooga, where he remained from 2001-2003, serving as the Assistant Head Coach, while coaching the offensive and defensive line. After a stint as the Offensive Line Coach at Southern Miss, he took over as Head Coach of Boiling Springs High in Boiling Springs, South Carolina, from 1994-1999. He was also named Region 10 Coach of the Year three times. In 1986, Coach Bryan took over as Head Coach for the Bobcats and led them to 5 straight bowl games, and finished the years as the #1 ranked team in the NJCAA in 1987. In 1983, he became the Offensive Coordinator at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. He also served as a graduate-assistant for the Mountaineers. A native of Traphill, N.C., he played at North Wilkes High School before continuing his playing career and education at Appalachian State University. Coach Bryan enters his 2nd season as Head Coach of the Warriors.
